One of your graded projects for this course is to contribute to the class blog. The blog is intended to be another area for us to engage with the themes of this course.
To meet the requirements, you need to do two entries per week. A “week” counts as Monday at 12:00 am until Sunday night at 11:59 pm. As long as you post AND comment within that time frame, your entries will count.
The first entry must be an answer to a question that I present at the beginning of a week on the blog. You will post this entry to the main page of the blog. These answers must be thought out, use examples from the reading, and contribute to the themes of the course. Each of these entries should be approximately 200-400 words (or more). Tag your posts with your user name. You may add other tags that seem appropriate.
The second entry needs to be a response to one (or more) of your classmate’s answers. Your “comment” should be added in the comment section of another post and be at least 100-200 words (but can be more). Consider your comments as engaging other authors/readers in conversation. Feel free to ask questions, challenge an idea, share a similar story, etc. Your responses should be meaningful, relevant and offer substance to the conversation both with the author of the post and the class themes.
You should respond to those who comment on your posts, also.
Finally, feel free to add things like images and hyperlinks to your entries. If you find something that relates to the themes in this course or you think would be useful/interesting/helpful to the class, please post it.
Remember that though you are writing in a different format (online) than a traditional essay, you should maintain appropriate language use for an academic setting. This means not only that you should refrain from posting questionable material but also that you will be evaluated on grammar, spelling, word choice, organization, etc.
