Audience Analysis

I’ve never had the flair or interest as regards anything related to English or paper writing but just do it for the credit. This was my mindset when signing up for ENGL 121 for the present semester. I still had that opinion going into the first week of class right up till the point of the first essay to be written. Thinking upon what approach to start to with and through the help of the instructor, I realized the importance of identifying one’s audience. Audience Analysis is one major concept that helps you determine how you want your message to be interpreted. By understanding the audience you writing to, you get a clearer picture and layout of how your message will be conveyed. This concept I plan on using continuously in interacting with others and in other classes or field I find myself.

middle age

One major thing an individual in their middle age should know how to do is time management.  
Middle Age individuals are believed to have a job or working towards getting there and at the same time they want
to have fun like they use to in their college days. I therefore consider time management to be one concept or skill
readily available to aid people in the age bracket. Once they can figure out how to use time wisely and how it works,, they are able
to set goals and achievements for themselves.

Doing Research

In conducting most of my research work, I turn to the internet’s various search engines for resource materials related to the project. Using the Google search engine, I type in keywords, words, sentences or questions relating to my topic.

In going through the results from the search engine, I look through the search results, clicking and opening web pages that look similar to the project and read through, picking off or summarizing key paragraphs or sentences and apply them to my paper.

Getting to know the credibility of the source never occurred to me till I took English class. The moment I get the sentence or keynote needed, I just summarize in my own words and not bother if the source is good or not. In other to confirm my sources now, I check the organization or website and its content.

Misunderstood

Just because I’m one of the most “quiet” guy in school and rarely seen talking to my fellow students of same race does not make me a snob or racist.   I’m a very jovial and friendly person but learns to observe people and my environment before relating to people. I walk past people and I hear whispers like “Here he comes, always full of himself..” Sometimes I shake it off but other times it really gets to me and I ponder on why they would want to label me that. I hate that school mates who dont know me judge me before they even get to know me or just because i rarely interact with others. It’s not like i shut people out either, I’m a really friendly person who takes precaution in associating with people and not just randomly talking to the entire school community.

My name is Vandops. I’m adventurous and outgoing. I’m the type of guy that you can come to when you need someone to just listen, or if you need help with something. I’m the type of guy that will go out of my way to make you smile, or just be a total goof ball to get a rise out of you. I love having a really close-knit relationship with friends and people I come across and they can rely on me for everything and anything. I’ll be here to share my ideas and opinions as part of my contribution to the progress of the class.
